2021/2022 Recreational Program Schedule

Due to the fire that burned down our facility on June 30, 2021 classes will not be held at 2595 McGillivray blvd.  We are working hard to secure a new location and will provide an update as soon as possible.

Recreational Program is September to June, but you can provide a 30 day notice to withdraw at any point.  After the 30 day period is complete no further fees would be charged.

2020/2021 SESSION FEES  

  • Mini Preschool classes (45 minutes) = $59.85/month
  • Jr. Spartans classes (1 hour)  = $72.50/month
  • Advanced classes (2 hours) = $110.55/month
  • Tumbling & Flexibility classes = $90.45 per month
  • Performance Team Youth (1.5 hours) = $90.45 per month
  • Performance Team (3 hours) = $132.65 per month
  • Elite Performance Team (3.5 hours) = $144.55 per month
  • Activate  (Parkour) 1 hour classes = $72.50/month
  • Advanced Activate 1.5 hour class = $90.45 per month

** Fees include GST and insurance fees, there are no additional fees **

  • No classes 2 weeks over winter break
  • No classes 1 week over Spring Break 
  • No classes on any statutory / provincial holidays
  • No classes the weekend of the Spartans Winter Warriors competition

** If the facility is mandated to close due to COVID-19 we will look to offer virutal programming.   If no virtual programming is offered there will be no charge during this closure period for any recreational classes listed above.  If you do not want to continue with virtual programming you can drop a class and there will be no fees charged after the date you advise the office that you are not participating in virtual programming. 

** There will be no makeup classes or refunds for the weeks/days that there are no classes as listed above or if classes are canceled due to unforseen circumstanes beyond our control.  COVID-19 closure will be handled as above.

Each drop in session is $10 cash only.  Every participant must also pay $45 MGA Insurance fee which covers them from September 1 – August 31.

RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS – COMPETITIVE

Competitive fees include the cost of insurance, GST, Spartans Mock Meet and local competitions.  Fees do not include Provincials, out of town competitions or competitive attire.

Mini Spartans

Preschool Ages 18 months – 5

This recreational program is designed to introduce gymnastics to both boys and girls in a fun and encouraging environment.  The goal is to build basic fundamental gymnastics skills.

Junior Spartans

For school-aged children 5+

This recreational program is designed to continue to build on gymnastics skills and technique for both boys and girls.  The focus is on developing strength, flexibility and coordination in a fun and encouraging environment. The Advanced class is designed to start working on more complex gymnastics skills for those that have prior gymnastics experience.

Demo Performance Teams

For children ages 7+

The Demo teams will work on learning new tumbling, acrobatic and dance skills as well as mastering existing skills.  The Demo teams will learn routines to perform at special functions at Spartans and out in the public that incorporate tumbling, acrobatics and dance.  There will be high level, qualified instructors to coach tumbling, acrobatics and dance.  We welcome those interested in tumbling, acrobatics and dance. Experience as a current or past gymnasts, dancers and cheerleaders is an asset. The teams range from beginner where basic skills are required to elite, where higher level skills in gymnastics, dance or cheer are required.  The elite team may enter competitions near the end of the season.

Parkour / Tricking

For school-aged children 5+

Parkour is the physical discipline of moving as efficiently and as fast as possible through your environment by jumping, running, vaulting, swinging, climbing and rolling.  Children will build strength, agility, body awareness and balance in a fun and encouraging environment.

Tricking is the physical discipline that combines kicks, flips and twists from gymnastics as well as many moves / styles from breakdancing and martial arts.

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic gymnastics is an Olympic sport that combines elements of ballet, acrobatics, contortion, and creative movements to music, while working with ribbons, balls, hoops, ropes and clubs in a highly choreographed dance-and-tumble routine.   Rhythmic gymnastsics will help develop  strength, agility, coordination, flexibility and balance.  Kids as young as 4 can start in the rhythmic gymnastics recreational program!

This program is designed for both boys and girls to prepare them to enter into the competitive stream.  Assessments are done to determine if the pre-competitive program is appropriate.  This structured program is designed to build strength, agility, flexibility and technique.  The time commitment in this program ranges from 2-6 hours per week.

Competitive


Junior Olympic – Competitive

This structured program is designed to build on more complex gymnastics skills and build strength, agility, flexibility and technique.  There are specific technical skills required to compete at each level and all gymnasts will be assessed prior to placement in any level.  These gymnasts will compete in Manitoba and may compete across Canada and the USA as well.  The time commitment in this program is 6-20+ hours per week.
  • JO1-JO10 AGES 6+ (Girls)
  • Provincial Level 1-5 AGES 8+ (Boys)
  • National Open AGES 14+ (Boys)
